BOLD – According to Ministry of Justice official report released on 13, September 2019, 6502 people affiliated to Hizmet Movement are imprisoned after Turkey wide crackdown and investigation. According to data, their indictment and charges are not prepared yet. Trials are held within these investigations resulted in 22,700 people are charged. Up to these numbers, the total detainees and prisoners are 29,202. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Suleyman Soylu report, 550, 000 persons were went under investigation. Besides, 110,000 persons who were detained in different period of time were released from the prisons in which they were in years and months.

According to the information By Öztürk, it is said that 152.399 people are still under investigation for alleged membership in the Hizmet Movement. The cases of 69.567 people are continued. The number of people whose investigation and cases are continued is about 221.666.

21 cases are currently pending related to15 July. 819 people are still under arrest while 694 people were released by judicial control in cases where 804 people were tried.
The proceedings within the scope of 268 files were concluded.
The penalty distribution of the finalized cases is as follows: 216 defendants were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment. (On the point of being 141 times for 17 defendants, 140 times for 1 defendant, 137 times for 1 defendant, 4 times for 31 defendants, 3 times for 4 defendants, 28 times for 2 defendants)
97 defendants sentenced to life imprisonment. 491 defendants were sentenced between one year, two months and 20 years imprisonment. 2,621 people were acquitted. 525 people were not punished. Totally, 6,950 people were sentenced. Ultimately 3,804 people convicted in cases of the coup attempt. 2,621 people were acquitted. The distribution Aggravated life-lifelong- occupation and rank is as follows:
- Aggravated Life: 71 generals, 821 junior officers, 173 sergeants, 50 specialist sergeants, 61 cadets, 4 police officers, 24 civilians, 12 soldiers.
- Lifelong: 20 generals, 403 junior officers, 131 sergeants, 164 specialist sergeants, 276 cadets, 12 police officers, 91 soldiers.
- Term Prisoners: 18 generals, 642 junior officers, 232 sergeants, 366 specialist sergeants, 154 police officers, 18 civilians, 17 cadets, 43 soldiers, 1 administrative chief.
